Dudley Division

Division Commissioner
Edith Fones, Division Commissioner

Dudley Division is set in the heart of the Black Country. There are six Districts within the Division that is spread out between Dudley, Wombourne, Sedgley and Cradley Heath. Edith Fones, the Division Comissioner for Dudley looks after them all with the help of her Division Exec team. The division is Girlguiding strong and has around 900 members, and always looking to increase numbers. We have even managed to open new units during the last year as new interest grows. We are always on the look out for new leaders who are willing to help us, enabling more girls to join into the Guiding community.

There is plenty to see and do in and around the area which enables the units to carry out many activities outside of the normal meeting place, including Dudley Zoo and castle where the Division started their Girlguiding Centenary Celebrations in September 2009. Just around the corner there is the Black Country Living Museum, where the girls can enjoy a day out exploring life back in years gone by. Some of the units have also been on a canal boat on one of the many canals in the area, which they could use as one of their Adventure 100 badge activities.
