Senior Section members can become Young Leaders and help younger girls

This is the section for young ladies aged from their 14th to 26th birthdays and has been operating under various titles since 1916.

Senior section is organised very differently from other areas of Girlguiding reflecting the growing maturity and differing lifestyles of the young women involved.

Involvement in Senior Section is recognised as an asset on the CV by employers and universities.

Area Description
Look Wider A programme for Senior Section members; it adapts to your lifestyle and gets you to explore your potential.
Innovate A forum for 16-25 year olds to contribute to the direction of Girlguiding UK
International opportunities Chances to get involved in Girlguiding worldwide be that sight-seeing, understanding the world or helping make the world a better place
Peer education Develop skills, knowledge and understanding of girls and young women from each other.
Residentials A great way to meet people and work as a group without a leader or adult in charge.

Where can I find Senior Section?

There are over 20 Senior Section Units spread all across West Mercia, with aroung 300 girls involved in the various aspects of the Senior Section. In order to find your nearest Unit, please contact us.
